First of all, you can check the status of the amended return, generally, after 3 weeks from the date of filing your amended return. If you want to check the status of the amended return, you can do so by visiting IRS.gov/WMAR. Keep in mind, IRS may take another estimated 16 weeks additionally for processing your amended tax return-Form 1040-X.
