I have heard that the IRS provides forms that I can use to file a tax return for free. Is that true?

Free File Fillable Forms are electronic federal tax forms you can fill out and file online for free. Free File Fillable Forms is only available for taxpayers whose Adjusted Gross Income is greater than $72,000. If your AGI is $72,000 or less , then you can use IRS Free File partner’s service. Chose Free File Fillable Forms option only if you are comfortable to compute AGI and total income and are aware of other tax filing terms .
